At Microsoft, I worked on enhancing real-time collaborative environments, directly contributing to core features that required highly responsive user experiences. My primary focus was on resolving latency issues and restoring critical text-editor functionality that had been impacted by system regressions. I efficiently debugged and unblocked these technical dependencies, bringing back complete text-editing capabilities to the platform. Furthermore, I expanded the capabilities of various UI components, such as introducing custom schema support for user-selection modules, which significantly reduced execution overhead. This experience exposed me to the intricacies of building highly responsive frontends and working within large-scale TypeScript and React codebases, emphasizing the importance of latency optimization and seamless user-centric design.

My journey with the IEEE BIT MESRA Student Chapter began as a Member and culminated in serving as Vice Chairman. Initially, I organized flagship events, designed posters, and taught at workshops while participating in global sessions through the IEEE Kolkata Section. As Joint Secretary, I took on greater responsibility, coordinating events to foster community and teaching C/C++ and Data Structures to peers. Eventually, as Vice Chairman, I planned event calendars and budgets, conducted monthly meetings, collaborated with external EdTech organizations for workshops, and assigned roles to encourage member growth. This progressive experience profoundly shaped my teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills while allowing me to guide the club towards new heights.

I interned at NEEV, which stands for New Education and Environment Visions, for around two months. It is a social enterprise that produces the high quality handcrafted herbal products while providing a dignified means of employment for rural women and regenerating rural economy. For around two months (26 Aug'20 to 17 Oct'20) handled their instagram page designing posters, videos and advertisements. During the summer of lock-down I had just learnt photo and video editing using tools like photoshop, illustrator and others. And then I got this opportunity which was a little drifting from my stream but still I decided to do this internship for two primary reasons - it would help such an enterprise working for social cause and the other being the fact that I had plenty of time because of lock-down.
